Bali Barat in the north west is Bali’s / largest and most important National Park with unspoiled white sand coral and shell encrusted beaches, crystal clear waters, living coral, and Menjangan Island, where you’ll find one of the most spectacular underwater environments in Indonesia. WakaShorea nestles on a protective peninsula, a ten-minute boat ride from the mainland. Fourteen bungalows and two villas uniquely designed to exist in harmony with the landscape, a restaurant at tree level and one at the waters edge, and a fresh water swimming pool. A comprehensive range of activities tailored to the area: canoeing, diving, snorkeling, nature treks seeking native deer and the silver leaf monkey, and quiet picnics on deserted beaches. Both destinations are very different from the Bali of the south. The Architect, I Ketut Siandana is a Balinese Architect as well as a director of the hotel and it is his creation. To people who know him he is a visionary – the new generation Balinese, the hope for the future, if Bali is to retain its special magic, a traditionalist whose vision is to present the Bali experience in a unique way - he believes Waka gives visitors a chance to experience this and many guests who have stayed with us agree with him.
