The Racha Information
Hotel Information
The Racha is Thailand's premier deluxe island hideaway located on a magnificent beach on Racha Island, just 12 miles south of Phuket.
It takes only 30-40 minutes by speed boat from Chalong Bay to reach the island.
Land Transfers: (Phuket Airport to Jetty in Phuket)
Limousine transfer is THB 1,600++ per car per way (maximum 3 persons)
Free of charge with a minimum 7 paid nights stay
Minivan transfer is THB 2,300++ per van per way (maximum 6 persons)
Sea Transfers: (Jetty in Phuket to The Racha)
Scheduled speedboat transfer is THB 800++ per person per way (join-in transfers) Free of charge with a minimum 7 paid nights stay
Children under 12 years receive 50% discount
Transfer Note If you would like to book airport limousine transfer or schedule speed boat, please ensure that it must be booked at least 24 hrs before arrival date
Boat Schedule: (From 01 Nov ’06 onwards)
-From Phuket international airport to Chalong pier takes 45-60 minutes by driving
-From Chalong pier to The Racha takes 30-45 Minutes by Speed boat
Therefore, as of 1 November, the boat schedule will be as follows:
From Chalong to Racha at 11.30h, 14.00h and 17.00h.
From Racha to Chalong at 9.00h, 12.00h and 16.00h.
The above timing will allow us to adapt our operations better with regards to arriving flights at Phuket Intl. Airport and to provide a more effective service to our guests.
At the same time, we would like to remind you that arriving guests should land at Phuket Intl. Airport around 90 mins. prior to boat departure time in order to catch the next boat.
Subsequently, departing guests from The Racha should leave the island at least 3 – 4 hours before flight departure time in order to allow enough time for the transfer and check-in at the airport.
The above schedule may change subject to weather and sea conditions,, but boat will not leave earlier than at the advertise times in any case
Important Notice: Guests arriving later than 15.30h. at Phuket International airport cannot be transferred to The Racha on the same evening as we do not operate the boat at night time. The Racha will assist in making alternative arrangements for overnight stays in Phuket in case of late arriving flights or delays, but will not be financially responsible.
Please also notice that the sea conditions during the boat transfer can be unpredictable and guests are encouraged to wear appropriate and light attire.
The Racha will not operate its boats if there is the slightest safety concern or in case of strong winds or uncertain sea conditions. Every effort will be made by our land based staff in Phuket to assist in making alternative arrangements for the guests until the situation is considered safe.
In such an event, The Racha will not be financially responsible for delays or for guest relocations caused by adverse sea conditions
Phuket is Thailand's biggest island and is itself surrounded by smaller islands to visit and even to stay on. Some are uninhabited, visited only during the day; some are big enough to be home to small communities and some house hotels and villages. However, none are further than 30 minutes away by speedboat. For that extra 'away from it all' feeling and atmosphere you cannot beat getting off Phuket and experiencing the island atmosphere of Ko Yai, Coral Island or Ko Racha where the sea is just that little bit bluer, the fish more colourful and where the sand is just that much whiter.
