Hotel Information
Even though it looks one hundred years old, the inside decoration is in modern style as a way to explore yourself, and display the possible combination and harmony between the original old wood and the modern decorative items without one destroying the other. Build with three individual pavilions by the Samui lake, you might want to try this unique experience.
The house was conceived to match the Villagers life in harmony with the nature, and the weather changes which can be extreme hot some days, heavy thunderstorm on others or even continuous rain for a week.
The Island Villagers used to live in wooden houses, sometimes looking very magically charming, and terrible on others. In comparison, in our "modern life" we seek a much more comfortable living space but too often forget to bring "soul" or "feeling" to our living environment.
The founder of Muda house is of Royal line, his father being a direct descendant of "The King Rama IV" (King Mongkut) while his mother's grand father was governor of Southern Province (Chumporn, Lungsuan and Chaiya).
He lived in Paris for 25 years as an artist and was awarded the Gold medal at the famed "Salon des Artistes Français"
