PITA MAHA
Etched into the hillside that overlooks the Tjampuhan valley in Ubud, Pita Maha Resort & Spa encompasses 24 villas in a style reminiscent of an intimate Balinese village composed of private compounds. Named after the artistic association that nurtured creative talents during the 1930’s, Pita Maha means ‘great shining’ and today this boutique resort is an icon that showcases local artistry and design elements.
Pool Garden Villa
Drawing inspiration from the principles of traditional Balinese design, the Pool Garden Villa exudes uncompromising luxury in a hand-created environment complete with private pool, outdoor bathroom and terrace niches for quiet moments alone. Generously integrating sleeping and living space under an elevated thatched roof, the villa with its sweeping views over the distant ridge is tastefully furnished in sold teak, earthy textiles and a subtle infusion of local artistry. The Pool Garden Villa anticipates every possible need of the discerning international traveller with modern conveniences and personalized service.
Garden Villa
The traditionally thatched Garden Villa displays rare sensitivity towards the surrounding environment by nurturing local species of tropical flora. A tranquil retreat for those who appreciate solitary time alone with a partner, this luxuriously appointed villa features an indulgent bathroom with sunken tub and a seamless living space that merges into the outdoors. Stylish timber furnishings and artistic Balinese touches are balanced by modern conveniences and home facilities to enhance every stay.
Pool Duplex Villa
The family orientated 2-storey Pool Duplex Villa has been created to capture the relaxed mood of a tropical residence. Nestled within its own garden setting complete with a swimming pool, spacious terrace and hillside views, this villa features an exquisitely timber panelled master suite and upper-level loft bedroom with separate staircase for privacy. The Pool Duplex Villa incorporates modern home comforts and facilities within a dwelling that, through the use of indigenous materials, is aesthetically Balinese.
Pita Maha Spa
A private sanctuary from the pressures of the outside world, the Pita Maha Spa is a private villa nestled within a secluded part of the resort. Purposely designed for the exclusive use of couples, the spa features an outdoor treatment pavilion, steam room, hot and cold tubs and a spring water plunge pool. A concise menu of treatments utilizes local herbs, spices and oils based on ancient healing practices that evoke health, beauty and vitality.
Terrace Restaurant
The split-level Terrace Restaurant has been crafted to follow the gentle contours of the Tjampuhan ridge against a backdrop of Ubud’s hilly countryside. Open for all-day dining, the restaurant features a menu of flavoursome Asian cuisine and Western specialties with emphasis on fresh quality produce and the creative use of local herbs and spices.
