Perak : Perak carries the title of Darul Ridzuan, meaning the Land of Grace. It covers a total of 21,000 square kilometres and houses a population of roughly 2 million. Perak of long ago was famous for its rich tin deposits. It was from the local word for silver tin ore that this state got its name; aas perak means silver. And it was this discovery of tin by Long Jaafar that brought forth the influx of immigrants to the state. The capital of Perak is Ipoh, and Kuala Kangsar is its royal town.

Ipoh : The city of Ipoh is home to Teluk Intan's Leaning Tower and Ipoh's Darul Ridzuan Museum, which carries very interesting artefacts on the subjects of the history and development of Ipoh. Other famous places are Kutai Houses, where historical and cultural artefacts are displayed, and Ipoh Railway Station, combining Moorish architecture and modern embellishments surrounded by the beautiful floral garden giving little air of romance to the place.
