Downtown Information

Downtown Beijing is designed for China's tourists; here the streets are lined with vendors selling counterfeit brands, coffee shops, quirky restaurants and guesthouses. You will find the area busy by day and night, this is generally a tamer face of the city, void of towering skyscrapers it is reminiscent of New York's, Greenwich Village – a breath of fresh air in the centre of this sprawling metropolis.

A must see when in Downtown Beijing is definitely Nanluoguxiang, an area famous for its preserved courtyards, handicraft shops and reasonably priced bars and cafes, it has a distinct air of Bohemia to it and is one of Beijing’s less expensive areas.
